Emily has suffered from Lupus and no one took her symptoms of hypothyroidism and adrenal dysfunction seriously, nor did they discover her very low Vitamin D…until she put it all together.

I had been miserable for years and months. I have Lupus and because of it, doctors were not taking my symptoms into consideration and refused to test for Hashimoto’s. Tested TSH, Free T3 and T4 everything” normal” but symptoms of hypothyroid.

I went to doctors several times– at least over twenty. I got no help and all they wanted to do is give me antidepressants. I refused.

I then found your site among others. Did my own temperature test and found out my adrenals were poor. I began treatment with Isocort.

As I was feeling better, I found another site that recommended testing for low Vitamin D levels because it causes pain and a whole host of other issues. I finally got the doctor to test for vitamin D–it was low. I found more research indicating this can be connected to hypothyroid. I ordered D3 and got on megadose from the doctor who at this point was worried that my D was so low! grrr.

I continued with Isocort until I got the temperature measurements, which pointed to hypothyroid. I ordered Thyroid-S and am now on 1 grain per day plus the Isocort, Vitamin D3, Iodoral, B12, Iron, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin C, Omega 3, Zinc, BioAstin, and Free Aminos. Six months later, I am exercising because I have energy. I have hope and my hair is not falling out as much. I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I had this much energy. I am taking Plaquenil for Lupus only every other day and believe soon I will not need it.

Everyone should check their Vitamin D levels–this could be contributing to your problems. Doctors failed to help me and Stop the Thyroid Madness along with http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/vdds.shtml and Kerri Knox, RN, a Functional Medicine Practitioner, helped. I praise God I found your site and thank you for putting all this information at our fingertips!
