Just wanted to let you know that I, too, have agonized over using natural thyroid replacement from pigs – those sensitive, sentient, amazing animals.

I refused to for many years, but was doing so badly on the synthetic replacement that I finally decided to try – and found it much better.

I try to atone for this by supporting as many animal rights petitions as I can to increase humane farming conditions for pigs and other animals. I include animal rights issues in my books, and I donate to a number of animal welfare organizations, even though I’m a tragically low income earner. It just feels right. If animals are raised and slaughtered humanely, we will breathe a lot easier as fellow sentient beings. I am just one voice, but many voices can make a difference.
