Dr. Lena Edwards is an Internal Medicine physician who is also Board Certified and Fellowship trained in Anti-Aging Medicine/Regenerative Medicine and Fellowship trained in Integrative Cancer Therapy. She has also recently opened The Pediatric Integrative Medicine Center of Kentucky, the first practice of its kind in that state. Dr. Edwards has been in solo clinical practice for nearly fifteen years while also teaching, writing, and speaking on numerous medical topics pertaining to anti-aging, health and wellness, integrative and functional medicine, and disease prevention.
In addition to being the president and owner of Balance Health & Wellness Center, Dr. Edwards also serves as a community faculty member for the University of Kentucky Medical Center, an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, a fellowship instructor and oral board examiner for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, a member of the Advisory Board for Abstract Reviews for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Annals of Internal Medicine, and a member of the Medical Advisory Board for Health Intelligence Magazine.
Dr. Edwards is also an active member of numerous other prestigious medical groups and organizations. She has co-authored several peer reviewed medical journal articles which include, “Hypocortisolism: An Evidence Based Review”, published in IMJC last year . Dr. Edwards has also authored her first book titled, “Adrenalogic: Outsmarting Stress”, an evidence based reference guide discussing the causes and clinical consequences of chronic stress.
