OK! Bit of a delay following up–your site was inaccessible, then we had a snowstorm & a blackout.
I have been taking Cortef 5-10 mg for 5 or so years. (Been on NDT 14 years.) Never able to get off Cortef, swamped by debilitating fatigue if I don’t take it. But increasingly in the past 8 or more months, the insomnia I’m experiencing is nuts. (Tho, I am in fact a lifelong on again/off again insomniac.)
And yes, I will be seeing a new endo with expertise in adrenal medicine later this month.
So, I don’t entirely understand how to use PS 100, or the Holy Basil. Do they work the first night I take it/them? Do I have to wait a couple days, build up a blood level? Will these supps reduce the efficacy of my morning Cortef (oh no!). I’m just getting desperate to re-set my internal clock to a more normal rhythm, because I’m up late & sleep late & ugh.
Now, the isolation of the Covid crisis may have a lot to do with this; but I’d like to avail myself of whatever tools I can grab, mental or physical. ??

You know, we have learned repeatedly that if we can’t wean off HC, we need to find out what is still stressing our adrenals and treat it. But if for some reason we can’t treat it, we go back up 25 mg HC as explained in the updated revision STTM book.
